Ford E-Tourneo Courier: A Practical and Stylish Electric Van

If you’re looking for a compact and versatile electric vehicle that can handle both urban and rural driving, you might want to check out the Ford E-Tourneo Courier. This all-electric van is designed to maximize space and style while offering a range of smart features and technologies.

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is part of Ford’s plan to electrify its entire European passenger vehicle range by 2026. The electric mini van will be available to order in late 2024 and will join the existing Tourneo Courier hybrid and plug-in hybrid models.

What Makes the Ford E-Tourneo Courier Stand Out?

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is based on the same platform as the Ford Fiesta but with a longer wheelbase and a higher roofline. This gives it more room for passengers and cargo, as well as a distinctive look.

The van can seat up to five people, with a flexible rear seat configuration that allows for different combinations of luggage and passenger space. The rear seats can also fold flat or be removed entirely, creating a flat load floor with up to 1,656 liters (58.5 cubic feet) of cargo volume.

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is powered by a 136-horsepower electric motor and a 50-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It has a projected range of 250 kilometers (155 miles) on a single charge, according to the WLTP cycle. The battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in about 40 minutes using a 100-kW DC fast charger or in about six hours using a 7.4-kW AC wallbox.

The van also comes with a host of advanced driver-assist systems, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking. It also features a SYNC 4 infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and over-the-air updates.

Why Should You Consider the Ford E-Tourneo Courier?

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is an ideal choice for drivers who need a practical and efficient vehicle that can adapt to different needs and situations. Whether you’re transporting your family, your friends, or your work equipment, the van can accommodate them all with ease and comfort.

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is also a stylish and modern vehicle that stands out from the crowd. It has a sleek and aerodynamic design, with LED headlights and taillights, a large grille with an illuminated Ford logo, and alloy wheels. The interior is spacious and refined, with high-quality materials and ambient lighting.

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is not only a great electric vehicle but also a great value proposition. It has an estimated starting price of $34,000 (29,000 EUR), which is competitive with other electric vans in the market. It also comes with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer (100,000-mile) warranty on the battery pack.

How Does the Ford E-Tourneo Courier Compare to Other Electric Vans?

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier faces some tough competition from other electric vans in the market, such as the Renault Kangoo Z.E., the Peugeot e-Partner, and the Volkswagen e-Caddy. These vans offer similar levels of performance, range, and practicality as the Ford E-Tourneo Courier, but they may differ in terms of design, features, and price.

The Renault Kangoo Z.E. is one of the most popular electric vans in Europe, with over 50,000 units sold since its launch in 2011. It has a range of 230 kilometers (143 miles) on a single charge and a cargo volume of up to 4.6 cubic meters (162 cubic feet). It has a starting price of $28,000 (24,000 EUR).

The Peugeot e-Partner is a new electric van that debuted in 2020. It has a range of 275 kilometers (171 miles) on a single charge and a cargo volume of up to 3.8 cubic meters (134 cubic feet). It has a starting price of $32,000 (27,500 EUR).

The Volkswagen e-Caddy is another new electric van that debuted in 2020. It has a range of 220 kilometers (137 miles) on a single charge and a cargo volume of up to 3.2 cubic meters (113 cubic feet). It has a starting price of $30,000 (26,000 EUR).

As you can see, the Ford E-Tourneo Courier has some advantages over its rivals, such as a longer range, a larger cargo space, and a more attractive design. It also has some unique features, such as the illuminated Ford logo and the SYNC 4 system. If you’re looking for a practical and stylish electric van that can handle any situation, the Ford E-Tourneo Courier might be the one for you.
