Peugeot 508: A Stylish and Sophisticated Sedan for the Modern Driver

Peugeot 508

If you are looking for a new car that combines elegance, performance, and technology, you might want to consider the Peugeot 508. This sleek and spacious sedan is now available for order in Germany, with prices starting from $38,000. Here are some of the features and benefits of the Peugeot 508 that make it stand out from the crowd.

Design and Comfort

The Peugeot 508 has a distinctive and dynamic design that reflects its premium quality and character. The front end features a striking grille with chrome inserts, full LED headlights with adaptive lighting, and a sculpted hood. The side profile showcases a low roofline, frameless doors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear end boasts LED taillights with a three-dimensional effect, a chrome-finished dual exhaust system, and a subtle spoiler.

The interior of the Peugeot 508 is equally impressive, with a spacious and comfortable cabin that can accommodate five passengers. The dashboard is dominated by a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver can also enjoy a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that can be customized to display various information. The seats are upholstered in leather or Alcantara, depending on the trim level, and offer electric adjustment, heating, massage, and memory functions. The trunk has a generous capacity of 487 liters (17.2 cubic feet), which can be expanded to 1,537 liters (54.3 cubic feet) by folding the rear seats.

Performance and Efficiency

The Peugeot 508 is powered by a range of efficient and powerful engines that deliver smooth and responsive driving. The gasoline options include a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower or 225 horsepower, depending on the trim level. The diesel options include a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 130 horsepower or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 160 horsepower or 180 horsepower, depending on the trim level. All engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that offers quick and smooth shifts.

The Peugeot 508 also offers a plug-in hybrid option that combines a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and an 11.8-kWh battery pack. This configuration produces a total output of 225 horsepower and can travel up to 54 kilometers (33 miles) on electric power alone. The plug-in hybrid option also has lower emissions and fuel consumption than conventional engines, making it more eco-friendly and economical.

Technology and Safety

The Peugeot 508 is equipped with a host of advanced technology and safety features that enhance the driving experience and protect the occupants. Some of these features include:

  • A wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones
  • A Focal premium sound system with 10 speakers
