The New Peugeot e-Traveller: A Stylish and Eco-Friendly Van for Professionals and Families

Peugeot e-Traveller

The Peugeot E-Traveller is a new electric van that combines style, comfort, safety, and efficiency. It is designed to meet the needs of professional drivers who want to offer a zero-emission mobility service, as well as families who are looking for a spacious and versatile vehicle. In this article, we will explore the main features and benefits of the new Peugeot E-Traveller and how it stands out from the competition.

A New Design That Is Both Stylish and Rewarding

The new Peugeot E-Traveller has a modern and elegant design that reflects its premium and dynamic character. The front end features a chrome grille with the Peugeot lion emblem, as well as LED daytime running lights and fog lights. The side profile showcases the streamlined and robust bodywork, with sliding doors and tinted windows. The rear end has a tailgate that opens up to a large and practical boot space, with a low loading sill and a 180-degree opening angle.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller is available in two lengths: Standard (4.95 m) and Long (5.30 m), with a wheelbase of 3.28 m. It can accommodate up to nine passengers in a comfortable and modular cabin, with three rows of seats that can be folded, removed, or reconfigured according to the needs of the driver and the passengers. The new Peugeot E-Traveller also offers a high level of customization, with four trim levels: Active, Allure, Business, and Business VIP. Each trim level has its own specific features and equipment, such as leather seats, climate control, touchscreen, navigation system, parking sensors, rearview camera, and more.

The Very Best Technology for Comfort and Safety

The new Peugeot E-Traveller is equipped with the latest technology to enhance the comfort and safety of the driver and the passengers. The dashboard has a digital instrument cluster that displays key information about the vehicle, such as the speed, the battery level, the driving mode, and the range. The steering wheel has multifunction buttons that allow the driver to control the audio system, the cruise control, and the phone. The central console has a 7-inch touchscreen that integrates the Peugeot Connect system, which offers connectivity, navigation, and entertainment features. The Peugeot Connect system also allows the driver to access the Peugeot e-Remote Control app, which enables the driver to remotely check the battery status, pre-condition the cabin temperature, and plan the charging sessions.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller also has a wide range of driver assistance systems that help the driver to prevent or reduce the risk of accidents. Some of these systems include:

  • Active Safety Brake: a system that detects and warns the driver of a potential collision with a vehicle, a pedestrian, or a cyclist and automatically applies the brakes if the driver does not react in time.
  • Lane Departure Warning System: a system that alerts the driver if the vehicle involuntarily crosses a lane marking without using the turn signal.
  • Blind Spot Monitoring System: a system that indicates the presence of a vehicle in the blind spot of the driver, using a light on the side mirror.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control: a system that maintains a constant speed and a safe distance from the vehicle in front, using a radar and a camera.
  • Head-Up Display: a system that projects the essential information on the windshield, such as the speed, the navigation instructions, and the driver assistance alerts.

0 Emissions, 2 Battery Types, and Up to 350 km Range

The new Peugeot E-Traveller is powered by a 100% electric motor that delivers 136 hp and 260 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 130 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 13.1 seconds. The electric motor is coupled with a single-speed automatic transmission that offers a smooth and quiet driving experience.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller has two battery options: a 50 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 230 km (WLTP), and a 75 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 350 km (WLTP). The batteries are integrated under the floor of the vehicle, which does not affect the interior space or the handling. The batteries are also covered by a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km for 70% of their capacity.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller can be charged using different methods and times, depending on the power and the type of charger. The charging methods and times are as follows:

  • Standard domestic socket (8A): 31 hours for the 50 kWh battery and 47 hours for the 75 kWh battery.
  • Accelerated charger (16A): 15 hours for the 50 kWh battery and 23 hours for the 75 kWh battery.
  • Wallbox (7.4 kW): 7.5 hours for the 50 kWh battery and 11.5 hours for the 75 kWh battery.
  • Public charging station (22 kW): 5 hours for the 50 kWh battery and 7.5 hours for the 75 kWh battery.
  • Fast charger (100 kW): 30 minutes for the 50 kWh battery and 45 minutes for the 75 kWh battery to reach 80% of the capacity.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller also has three driving modes that allow the driver to adapt the performance and consumption of the vehicle to the driving conditions. The driving modes are:

  • Eco: a mode that reduces the motor's power and torque to optimize the range.
  • Normal: a mode that balances the motor's power and torque to suit everyday driving.
  • Power: a mode that boosts the motor's power and torque to enhance driving pleasure and performance.
