Mercedes-Benz E-Class Gets a Major Update for 2024

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Gets a Major Update for 2024

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is one of the most popular luxury sedans in the world and for good reason. It offers a blend of comfort, performance, technology, and style that few competitors can match. But even the best can get better, and that's what Mercedes-Benz has done with the 2024 E-Class.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a comprehensive update that includes a new design, engines, features, and safety systems. The result is a more modern, efficient, intelligent, and attractive sedan that will appeal to loyal fans and new customers.

New Design

The first thing you'll notice about the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is its new look. The sedan has been given a more dynamic and elegant appearance reflecting its premium vehicle status. The front end features a new grille with a single horizontal bar, a large three-pointed star, and new LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights. The rear end has also been redesigned with new LED taillights and a new bumper with chrome accents.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also offers more customization options than ever before. Customers can choose from 12 exterior colors, including two new ones: Graphite Grey Metallic and Mojave Silver Metallic. They can also opt for different wheel sizes and designs, ranging from 17 to 20 inches. And for those who want a sportier look, the AMG Line package adds a more aggressive front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, and AMG-branded wheels.

New Engines

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also boasts a new range of engines that are more powerful and more efficient than before. The base model is the E 200, which has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 197 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 149 mph.

The next level up is the E 300, which has the same engine but with more power: 258 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph.

The top-of-the-line model is the E 450, which has a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology that adds an extra boost of 22 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. It can deliver a whopping 367 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds and hit a top speed of 155 mph.

All models come with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (4MATIC). They also feature an improved suspension system that offers a smoother ride and better handling.

New Features

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is faster, more efficient, smarter, and more connected than ever before. It comes with a new infotainment system called MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) that features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a digital instrument cluster, a touchpad controller, voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging.

The MBUX system also has some unique features that make it stand out from other infotainment systems. For example, it has an augmented reality function that overlays navigation instructions on the windshield or on the display screen using real-time images from the front camera. It also has an interior assistant function that uses gesture recognition to control certain functions, such as adjusting the lights or opening the sunroof.

Another new feature of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the Energizing Comfort package that enhances the well-being of the driver and passengers by adjusting various aspects of the cabin, such as the climate control, the ambient lighting, the music, and even the massage function of the seats. The package also includes an Energizing Coach function that uses data from a compatible wearable device or smartphone app to suggest a suitable ENERGIZING COMFORT program based on the driver's personal well-being and stress level.

New Safety Systems

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also equipped with a host of new safety systems that make driving safer and easier. One of them is the Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function, which can detect vehicles and pedestrians crossing in front of the car and apply the brakes automatically if necessary. Another one is the Active Blind Spot Assist with exit warning, which can warn the driver of vehicles in the blind spot and also alert them of approaching traffic when opening the door.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also features the latest generation of the Driving Assistance Package, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane change assist, steering assist, speed limit assist, route-based speed adaptation, evasive steering assist, and emergency stop assist. These systems work together to help the driver maintain a safe distance and speed, stay in the lane, change lanes safely, steer around obstacles, and stop the car in an emergency.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class also offers a new Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, making parking easier and more convenient. The package includes the following:

  • A rearview camera.
  • Front and rear parking sensors.
  • Active parking assist.
  • A 360-degree camera that provides a bird's-eye view of the car and its surroundings on the display screen.

The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a remarkable sedan that has been improved in every aspect. It has a new design that makes it more attractive and distinctive, new engines that make it more powerful and efficient, new features that make it smarter and more connected, and new safety systems that make it safer and easier to drive. It is a sedan that offers everything you could ask for in a luxury car: comfort, performance, technology, and style. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is expected to go on sale in Europe in June 2023, followed by other markets later in the year.
